| Spruce Pine Fire and Rescue is located in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. Spruce Pine is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Mitchell County. Bakersville is the county seat. Spruce Pine Fire and Rescue has been providing fire protection for the Town of Spruce Pine since 1919. The department is a member of the North Carolina State Firemen's Association and the Western North Carolina Firemen's Association. In 2001, Estatoe Volunteer Department merged with the department.
